Originally created for large engines adapted to VW transaxles, this pressure plate has become the benchmark in VW racing. Manufactured entirely by K.E.P., it’s balanced within .4 oz. inch for precision, 100% load-tested, and jig assembled to ensure optimal functionality. The contact face is made from high-tensile cast iron alloy, providing strength and stability under demanding conditions. It includes an early style throw-out bearing collar for use with 1970 and earlier transmissions, and can easily be modified for later models by removing the collar.
This Stage 2 clutch handles up to 220 ft-lb of torque, making it ideal for hopped-up VW sand buggies and other competitive applications. Designed to fit all 1600cc engines with a 200mm flywheel.
