EVLC EV End of Summer BBQ 2025
Our annual summer hangout did not disappoint! This year turned into a surprise “camping edition,” and we loved it. From cozy Tesla air-mattress setups to towable Airstreams and custom pop-up tents, everyone brought their own flavor of road-ready comfort. The showstopper? A belt-driven EV motorcycle—smooth, quiet, and seriously quick—which pulled a crowd every time it rolled by. Food was on point, lines moved fast, and conversations kept going long after plates were clean. Huge thanks to everyone who camped out, pitched in, and kept the vibes friendly. Same time next summer—we’re already dreaming up upgrades. See you next year!
EVLC EV Conversion Workshop May 2025
Michael Bream and Mark Weller led another EV conversion workshop at the Electric Vehicle Learning Center in San Marcos this May, guiding the class through three intensive days of electric vehicle systems, high-voltage safety, and gas-to-electric conversions. The curriculum combined theory and hands-on practice, providing a comprehensive overview of EV engineering principles. Throughout the workshop, participants worked collaboratively to understand the importance of precision in motor installation and the role of each component in vehicle performance.
The class also focused on battery management, engaging directly with live cells to master safe balancing and monitoring techniques. CAN network programming exercises showcased how control modules communicate within an EV system, and system diagnostics labs reinforced essential troubleshooting methods. By working as a group, the class not only gained technical proficiency but also built confidence and creativity—key elements for advancing sustainable transportation. Thank you to everyone who joined EVLC for this experience!

EV and Coffee Event Recap
What an awesome morning at the EVs and Coffee event on April 26th! A huge shoutout to everyone who came out and made it such a memorable gathering. EVLC was proud to host this electric vehicle celebration, and we’re incredibly grateful to King Husky Coffee for keeping everyone charged up with their amazing brews! It was a fantastic mix of familiar faces and new friends, all coming together over a shared passion for clean, powerful transportation.
The turnout of electric rides was incredible, but one vehicle that really grabbed everyone's attention was the Tesla Cybertruck — complete with an electric razor mounted on top! It definitely sparked a lot of smiles, photos, and conversations throughout the morning. From custom EV builds to the stunning Lucid Sapphire, the energy and creativity on display made the event truly special.
With summer right around the corner, we’re just getting started! Stay tuned to our socials for updates on future EV meetups and events — we can’t wait to see you at the next one. Let’s keep building this amazing community and driving the future forward!
