The CATL battery has a capacity of 173Ah and a nominal voltage of 172.8 V, utilizing LFP chemistry. The cells are meticulously balanced within a voltage range of 3.295V to 3.298V, ensuring optimal performance and longevity. Each module is equipped with resistive heaters along the sides, boasting a total resistance of 6.3 Ohms. These heaters are powered externally, allowing for flexible control, and can be disconnected individually from each module for convenience and safety.
Although the modules are glued in place, they can be removed with some effort, allowing for maintenance or replacement as needed. The bottom plate includes coolant ports, which, if the modules remain attached, enhance the cooling efficiency of the system. The battery pack consists of three modules in series, each containing 18 cells connected in series, resulting in a total of 54 cells in series.
Designed with practicality in mind, the battery pack features built-in water cooling, ensuring effective temperature management during operation. Additionally, the cells are easily accessible, providing the flexibility to add your own Battery Management System (BMS). This design ensures that the battery can be tailored to specific requirements, making it a versatile and reliable choice for various applications.
