This cable is dual insulated, high strand DC traction pack cable. Meets EU standards for International Orange marking high voltage lines. Dual insulation allows for high flexibility, while remaining abrasion resistant. We recommend 4/0 gauge for short run installations up to 2000 amps, and long run installations up to 1500 amps. Cable is good up to 220 degrees fahrenheit and is rated as high as 600V. 1" Outside Diameter. Sold by the foot, continuous lengths up to 1000 ft.

As EV systems have moved to higher voltages, the amount of current needed has gone down. Because of this, many applications no longer require cable this large. In most cases, a smaller cable like 2/0 will handle the job just fine and is easier to work with.
